A clean sweep...almost

Today's been a very busy Sunday for such a "lazy" kinda day. To make room for all our new wedding goodies (plus a little extra spending money for our honeymoon in two weeks) I decided to have a garage sale. In order to get ready for it I started in the kitchen around 6:00 this morning. It's now 7:15 pm; I've still got one closet left but here's the result...

I wonder what Rustin's going to say when he gets back from his trip and finds his garage "de-flowered" by all kinds of crap from the house. Oh well it's all for the greater garage sale good, right??

Wrapped up in your love...

Last night Rustin & I headed downtown to Antone's with 15 of our closest friends for the Cory Morrow concert (our first concert as husband & wife). The night started off with Brandon Jenkins (who wrote "Feet Don't Touch the Ground"-our first dance)and kept right on rolling. Cory took the stage and played (it all; old & new)for 2 solid hours. After talking with Cory & Sherry for a bit the whole group headed straight for the Whataburger drive through. As you can tell from the pictures The Mahan's weren't the only ones having a GREAT time!

It's a Fiesta....on your plate!

At the end of married life week one we enjoyed good food and great company. Jenny, Steve, Clinton and Vera came over and we grilled out. It gave me a chance to use some of our new wedding gifts. My new red fiesta plates look awesome underneath all that yummy food that Rustin grilled.

And after burning the macaroni and cheese in my brand new stainless steel pot I figured they've officially been broken in. I can cross that off the list. I'm hoping that every meal made in them from now on will be full of a little more love and a little less charred noodles. Can't wait for our next dinner with friends.

Married Life...Week One

The wedding was beautiful! We both had such a great time and were very excited to spend time with family and friends. Pictures should be back from Bryan and Kendi soon. For those of you that are as impatient as I am keep yourself busy with the album full of pictures from guests on my facebook. If I don't post again in the next week or, send the search party out to find us in the pile of boxes and tissue paper from all the amazing wedding gifts. Thank you to all of you that were there for our special day!
