Happy fathers day

This year I was blessed to spend time with my father, my grandfather, and the father of my baby on Father's Day. We had a great time at church and then went to help Rustin pick out his new boots.

Then we went to my parents for lunch.

My Dad loved his gift. Each year in his card we'll add 4 new pictures for him to put in his frame.

Easter Sunday

This morning we got up and opened Molly's Easter basket. I know she won't remember it but I wanted her to have a basket anyway. Inside was Wellington, the new Scentsy Buddy (a yellow duck that smells like sunshine) a new pink bow, a new teether, Sweet Potato puffs & bubbles (a huge hit!).

Then we dashed off to breakfast before church.

Afterward we had lunch at Mimi & Papa's. Then came home to "hunt" eggs.

I saw on Pinterest that you could dye eggs with Kool-aid, so I decided to give it a try.

Happy New Year! Welcome 2012

Initially this post was supposed to be about our first NYE as a family of three, however since we only made it to midnight on the East coast I decided I'd write about my resolutions for the new year. In 2012 hope to grow & develop:

My Relationship with the Lord
The fabulous book I mentioned here has a 10 day challenge in the back so I've put my mind to making an effort to become a better wife & mother. The message during Meredith's Wedding mentioned that marriage was like a triangle and the only way the couple (the 2 base points) could become closer to one another was by moving laterally towards the lord. I thought that was an amazing way to put it and I hope to better my relationship with the Lord by having a quiet time each day. Plus I've been invited to be a part of a women's bible study with the girls at work and I couldn't be more excited.

My relationship with my Home
I'm making an effort to be more clean & organized when it comes to our house. (As I write this our cleaning lady is cleaning our house) One day (hopefully in the not to far off future) we'd like to move into a home of our own and Lord knows we've got WAY too much stuff that's no where near organized to pack it all up. So this year I downloaded this calendar. It's similar to the cleaning routine I already have but I added an organizing project for each week.

My relationship with my Camera
I've tried to do the 365 photo challenge in the past and I think I made it 3 weeks. This year I'm already on top of it (1 whole day down!) I downloaded this amazing template that I plan to make into a book at the end of the year. Plus with my fancy new camera and photography class maybe my pictures will be as beautiful as the subject.

My relationship with Myself
This is my nice way of saying lose weight, I want to like the way I look & feel. So If you're lookin' for me on Saturday mornings I'll be at my local WW meeting. I'll be trackin' my meals & hopefully back at Crossfit Valor ASAP!

Christmas Morning

This was our first Christmas as a family of 3 and we celebrated together on Christmas morning. Rustin made tamales and eggs for breakfast and we drank hot cocoa as we opened our stockings and perused through Molly's gifts from Santa. Then we took some time to play with our new toys. And if you still want more Christmas memories here's Molly opening her stocking & playing in the leftover wrapping paper.

Tour de Christmas Part 4- Chapa Family

Our last stop on our tour was Rustin's mom's home on Sunday night for dinner and presents. Rustin, who is NOT the easiest person to suprise when it comes to gifts, was suprised with a gun safe from Mario. Molly & I both got some great toys & cute clothes. The gift giving ended in an all out NERF gun war. We had a great time and a wonderful meal with family.

Tour de Christmas Part 3- Pepe Family

Christmas Eve is when my family celebrates. We usually have a snacky type meal and then open gifts. Molly made out like a bandit with clothes, teething toys, and puppets. Rustin and my dad went out to the garage to "open" his gift, a hydrolic press. I got the greatest gift of the year, a NEW CAMERA & a photography class!!! I'm so excited I can't wait to take some really great pictures! After we got home from my parents we laid out the cookies and milk for Santa & hopped in bed for a good night sleep.

After our Christmas Morning clebration as a family of three. We got dressed and headed back to my mom's for lunch. It was wonderful to just spend time with family and celebrate the birth of Christ.

After a good night's sleep we woke up Christmas Eve Day to head over to Rustin's dad's home for lunch. We had a delicious turkey dinner and then opened gifts. Molly got some adorable new outfits and other assorted goodies. Rustin opened a couple really nice shirts. I got a great book & other fun goodies. Molly opened her first Christmas gift and she did a great job!

Tour de Christmas Part 1- Moos Family

Friday afternoon we loaded up the car and headed to San Antonio to celebrate Christmas with Rustin's extended family. We had lots of yummy food and played some fun games. Then we headed for Aunt Mel's house for Maragritas and hangin' out with cousins.
