I promised myself...

I wouldn't become one of those people that have nothing else to talk about but their baby...well I lied. I'm happy to spend my days and nights with this precious little one and it's true what they say they become your whole world. Which I'm more than happy with ecstatic about but I promise I will start to blog about other things too...I don't know when that'll happen because she is all I really do right now but there will be other things eventually. In the mean time though here's a little something to keep you entertained.

2 Months

Molly,
I can't believe you've been in my life for two whole months. It's amazing to watch you grow everyday. Most days I find myself just staring at you.

This month you wore newborn diapers until this week when you moved into size 1 diapers even though they are quite big on you. You dont mind being changed anymore and that's when you talk the most. This month you've started to smile so much more. You're still a great "tracker" and still hold your head up like a pro.

You've started having your bath every night around 8:30. Now you get a bath in the tub instead of on the counter. (you're still in your bath sling though) You still dont like putting lotion on but your getting better. You can wear some newborn clothes but mostly you're in 0-3 clothes. (Mostly because you're so LONG.) You still sleep in longsleves and those were actually the first outfits you outgrew.

You're still not big on toys but you LOVE your swing and you got a new teddy bear that you smiled at at the store. You still love the occasional paci and do tummy time every day. You finally seem to like "ellie", your WubbaNub, better than "Izzy", your old WubbaNub.

You still eat every 2-3 hours for 30-45 min. with the exception of night time. You sleep for about 9 hours each night now. Mommy is so excited to be getting more sleep but I must admit that I'm sad not to be spending those few hours with you during the middle of the night. You sleep in your swing in your room the best. Your crib seems to wake you from a dead sleep in no time flat but you're getting to like it more and more.

This month you met your great grandma & grandpa Moos. Along with your Great Uncle Shane, Cousin Aaron, and Great Aunt Melanie. You've been to see alot of new places this month too, like the farmers market, San Antonio, and the mall. We go on walks in the morning when it's a little cooler but it's still over 100 degrees most days so we tend to stay inside or on the back porch where it's cooler. Your Mimi worries that you'll never learn your real name because Mommy and Daddy call you all kinds of things like "peanut", "Bubs", "BubbaLove", and my favorite "Peepers".

I love you so much little one. I'm torn between wanting to see you grow and keeping you my little baby. I'm excited to see what new and wonderful things you'll do this month!

Love,
Mommy

A New Adventure Awaits

I never understood how women stayed at home with their baby. I mean don't get me wrong my mom did it with us but I'm just the kind of person that always has to be going. Now that Molly is here I get it. I'd do just about anything to be able to stay home with her. In hopes of that one day becoming a reality I started Tiny Fans. They're just simple, adorable dresses and onesies for little ones. I got so many compliments on Molly's that I thought I'd start sewing and see what happens. Here's to another new adventure!

Molly's First Road Trip

This past weekend Rustin had a few days off and a job that dropped in San Antonio so Molly and I loaded up the car and met him down there. That was after I packed up the car with everything we own the stroller, the pack n play, my pump, her travel bathtub, the boppy, our suitcase, her diaper bag, a cooler full of milk, the car seat, both dogs, and of course Molly. Our first stop was over to my mom's to drop of the grand-dogs and pick up the portable swing, which I managed to stuff into the backseat find space for. About the time we were leaving Rustin called and had forgotten his wallet so we ran back and picked it up. 2 hours later we arrived in San Antonio and were waiting in the gas station parking lot waiting for daddy. We crammed his suitcase into the trunk and made our way through the rain (yes it rained!!!) to the hotel. Our room wasn't ready and while we waited in the Lobby Molly had a massive diaper issue all over herself and her daddy. LOVELY! Once we got checked in and had a bite to eat (WHATABURGER) we got back into the car to spend time with the grandparents.

After hanging out there for most of the night we went over to visit with Rustin's cousin Austin. Megan and Jeremy showed up to hang out too!

Sunday was spent shopping at Mommy's Mecca La Cantera and we got a chance to meet up with Miss Heather and Matt for lunch.

Then we went back to grandma and grandpas for BBQ, more football and some lovin' from Great Aunt Mel. All in all it was a wonderful time with family.

Did someone order the Mariachi

Our favorite Mexican food place has a band on Thursday nights. We went with friends this past week and it was Molly's first trip to the restaurant. I think she really liked the band because right before this she was smiling and swayin' around. Of course as soon as I turned on the video she stopped but I thought it was cute anyway. Enjoy!

Pinterest Passtimes

I promise I'm still here. I've just been working on quite a few pinterest projects during nap time and I can either blog or finish one of the dozen projects I've started. Here's a few that I've pulled from my boards

I made Molly some foaming baby wash using the lavender wash. It's made bath time much easier. Have to admit I didn't think it'd work but its awesome!

Made this "Cowboy Casserole" one night when I forgot to thaw out dinner. It was REALLY yummy. Even Rustin thought so.

Made my own version of this with cropped pics of Miss Molly. I uploaded to Wal-Mart and had them print it on one of their collage prints. It was less than $2 and looks so cute. Grandparents Day Gift...I think so :)
Had the opportunity to take this photo with my Nanny, Mom, myself, and Molly. Can't wait to see our version once it's printed.

These are still in the works. Waiting for gameday!

Bought all the ingredients this week. Can't wait to try 'em.

Excited to see if this really makes a difference. Is it the camera or the operator :)

I've been collecting books for several different holidays. Almost finished with Halloween and Christmas. Working on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Valentines day.

Can always use a "cream of something soup" substitute. Just need a container and then I'll get started so I can try it out.

Good lord my pots and pan cupboard is overflowing. Can't wait to try this out.

Waiting for my metal stamp set from Harbor Freight. Come on UPS!!!

Ready to try this now that I have some more modge podge.

Will have this (Baylor version) done before next game!!

Just need to print the pages for Molly's custom board book!!

Here's what I accomplished during Molly's most recent nap

Here's the body wash and the photo set up which I dont think worked very well but that may be my fault.

Here are the SUPER easy homemade granola bars & "cream of something soup". Below are the nicely stacked pots and pans because the little rack thing was crap less than ideal.

playtime

One of our shower gifts was a Flip video camera from my dad. It's the easiest thing in the world to use (there are only 6 buttons on the camera and that includes "power" and "record") and it's compact so I can carry it around in the diaper bag. Plus the software for editing is click and drag and you can share your videos/movies with the whole family in one click (literally) Anyway this week (week 5) Molly has started "playing" more so the videos are at least of a moving object now. Enjoy!

Needles, and Bobbins and Pins...Oh My

So thanks to Molly & Pinterest (more the latter really) I'm in need of learning to sew. My mom was always the mom that made creative halloween costumes for us (I didn't realize you could buy costumes until I was probably 12) and baked and decorated elaborate birthday cakes etc. While I'm sure she'd be more than happy to do the same for Molly, I want to be the one to do those things. Thus my latest purchase:

I picked this one because the majority reviews said it was SUPER easy for a beginner. I get the basics of sewing (I can figure out most patterns etc.) but my mom's machine is WAAY to complicated (I can usually only get as far as plugging it in) Anyway I can't wait for it to arrive so that I can start a few fabulous projects
