Friday was field day at school. I don't have any pics of the kids actually at field day because my room mom rocks! I had parents volunteer to do my field day duty so that I could skip out on the 100+ degree weather. Needless to say my ankles were very appreciative. I do have pics from earlier in the day. We started off by making bookmarks that I found on pinterest (yes I'm addicted), followed by book reviews of our favorite books we've read this year. Then we had our beach blanket "read in". The kids brought in beach towels and I brought in snacks for them to enjoy while they read. Bookworms (gummy worms)
Followed by sunshine marshmallow pops, goldfish crackers, and flip flop cookies. I have a few kiddos with peanut allergies so I couldn't make the flipflop cookies out of Nutter Butter but I came across the Vanilla Sandwich cookies which had a similar shape so I used those.
After our hotdog lunch in the classroom the students lined up to head out for their Fun in the SUN.
