Welcome to 26! -- Rustin's Birthday

This Tuesday we celebrated Rustin's 26th birthday. With the weather being as gross as it was we ordered pizza from his favorite place and he and the guys hung out and had a couple beers. An ideal celebration in his mind. Because of his love for Marble Slab I attempted to make him a homemade icecream cake. (A small cake from Marble Slab costs more than $30. ) Plus I just wanted to see if I could actually do it. Over all it tasted better than it looked but I feel like that may still make it to the win column.

You need:

Take your plastic wrap and line the bottom of one of your pans.
Then pour the ice cream into the pan and spread it out. Freeze.

Make your cake according to the mix. Bake. Once your cake has cooled and your ice cream has been in the freezer for 3+ hours (24 is best but anyone who knows me knows I have very little patience for things like this.) Stack your cake on top of your ice cream layer and top with your favorite icing. If you used the whipped kind it tastes like a DQ cake! Freeze until ready to serve.
