Bucket List

I thought about my bucket list today for the first time in long time. I decided to try and find it on my myspace (that's how long ago it was written) Anyhow I finally found it on an old USB drive. Here it is:

Things to do before I Die (before the term "bucket list" I guess)
1. Learn to ballroom dance properly
2. Visit Greece
3. Kiss underneath the Eiffel Tower
4. Eat a cheese steak in Philly & see the liberty bell
5. Be in the audience at Oprah
6. Own a pair of Manolo's
7. Gamble in Vegas
8. Have a "signature" recipe for potlucks
9. visit all 50 states
10. Go camping in the mountains
11. Visit a rain forest
12. Dig for fossils
13. Increase my vocabulary
14. Adopt a grandparent
15. Go to the World Series
16. Run away somewhere fun
17. Write a novel
18. Become wife and mother
19. Spend New Years Eve in NYC as close as I'll get was the staged movie one in NYC for our honeymoon
20. Grow a garden It didn't always grow but it was planted :)
21. Take a hot air balloon ride
22. Visit Italy
23. Take a yearly trip with friends
24. Take a cooking class
25. Visit a real haunted house
26. Go SCUBA diving
27. Watch the sunrise and set in the same day My wedding day :)
28. Learn to really like veggies will now eat lettuce, corn, asparagus, potatoes, green beans, and carrots
29. Paint something beautiful
30. Build a house with Habitat for Humanity
31. Live somewhere I don't know anyone
32. Learn to shoot a gun
33. See a Sea Turtle release
34. Find my way out of a corn maze there may or may not have been cheating involved
35. Complete a triathlon
36. Sponsor a child somewhere
37. Spend time volunteering
38. Horseback ride on the beach
39. Visit the San Diego Zoo
40. See the Marfa Lights

I feel like there are a few that need some minor adjustments:
#5. She just stopped filming :(
#17. Write a children's book is more like it
#36. Sponsor a pet from that really sad commercial
#14. I'd settle for spending more time with the ones I have (all 4- I'm totally blessed)


And since I had my students write one for this summer I thought I would too so here it goes:
1. Learn to sew
2. Catch up on my reading
3. Become a mommy
4. Visit the San Antonio Zoo
5. Craft all the things on my pinterst "To Be Crafted" board
6. Finish the nursery (I guess I should do that before #3)
7. Spend time at the lake/pool with friends
8. Try out some new recipes
9. Workout while I still can
10. Visit Wimberley during Market Days
11. Go to a concert
12. Visit Gruene Hall
13. Ride the Metro


Finally, Rustin and I decided to take the newest Josh Abbott Song "My Texas" and turn it into a sort of Texas Bucket List (I know Texas Monthly has already done something similar but oh well) So here it is:
