I hit the Dollar Tree (my favorite store) to pick up these cute bottles. Then I used my sillhouette machine to cut out our Crossfit Valor logo and their names. I also used the machine to cut cardstock for the first time. The tags turned out almost like I'd expected. Then I filled each bottle with Paleo friendly snacks, trail mix, beef jerky, and paleo pumpkin bars.
I think they turned out pretty darn cute...and yummy! Good Luck Crossfiters, next year I hope I'll be there with y'all.
Recipe For the Pumpkin Bars
1 c pumpkin puree
1 c almond butter
1/2 c raw honey
2 eggs (from pastured hens!)
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1 t vanilla extract
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
The How-To
For the Pumpkin Cake
Preheat your oven to 350F.
In a medium sized bowl, combine all the cake ingredients and mix thoroughly to combine. Pour into an 8×8 oven safe baking dish (I suspect you could squeeze 12 cupcakes out of this recipe if you use a muffin tin). Bake until completely cooked through, about 30 minutes.
Recipe for Paleo Trail Mix
Ingredients:
1 cup raw almonds
½ cup sunflower seeds
1 cup dried cranberries
½ cup raisins
Method:
Combine all ingredients in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place (it really can’t get any easier!)
Those turned out SO what...what a fun idea! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I am trying to go Paleo but it is sooo hard! I love pasta and bread and carbs. Thanks for a little bit of motivation. :)
