Day Trip--Coolin' Off

It's rare for Rustin to have a day off in the Summer, let alone 2, in a row! It was 104 degrees Tuesday so we decided to take Brad Paisley's advice, "Ice up that old igloo and drive until the map turns blue."

We were going to go to San Marcos and float the river but they don't let pregnant ladies float the river. FINE!

We'll go to Schliterbaun...For $100+ no thank you!

Hamilton Pool it is then. Nope they're closed until Wednesday.

Finally we dedcided to go to Krause Springs in Spicewood. The drive out there was really peacful and we stopped for Opie's BBQ. (Which might possibly be the best BBQ I've ever eaten!) Once we got to the spring and manuvered our way down the slippery rocks (I may or may not have had to slide down one of the slopes on my butt) we took a moment to appreciate the beauty. Then we jumpped in our floats and cooled off in the water for a bit. About 45 minutes later it was as if a school bus dropped off 40 middle school aged kids. Which made us they only ones there without our parents. We took that as our cue to head home.
